Yale's GALA (Gay and Lesbian Alumni) gathered in Harkness Hall on Saturday afternoon to get acquainted, to learn more about gay and lesbian life on campus, and to hear what plans this dynamic organization has for the future.

The 1980 crew had many classmates in attendance, to listen to Assistant Professor Jonathan Katz introduce students members and officers of the GALA organization. Professor Katz spoke of the Larry Kramer Initiative, and the Sarah Pettit Fund.

After his remarks, classmates met with new and old friends to chat, catch up, and to learn about the progress of life for Yale's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered students.

Everyone was thrilled at the excellent turnout, and the enthusiasm shown by our Class.

In fact, members of the Class immediately initiated a drive to provide funding in support of the Kramer Initiative and LGBT studies at Yale. For more info on this, contact Jack Thomas.
